“Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler.” This seems to be the principle behind Round Calendar by Saccade studio. Jot down your notes in the white space surrounding the dates and you get an overview of your entire year.

Metallica’s Turn The Page is one of those tracks that barely sound like Metallica.

Björk’s Volta is less “out there” than her previous work. The melody lines and progressions are clearer, and the prominent industrial rhythm accents that well, even though the sound has more “pop” to it.

This is Wanderlust, a song about “the state of looking for something and almost knowing you’re never going to find it.”

Death Cab For Cutie have been around for almost 13 years, yet only recently they broke into the mainstream.

I Will Follow You Into The Dark is a little calmer than their usual music, but it’s one of my favorite tracks.

Industrial music created by self-playing machines. These machines are made by Felix Thorn who’s a young British artist who thinks he’s a scientist.

Since we’re on Tunisian jazz music, here’s Nabil Khemir on a double-neck guitar and lute performing Ghraam spruced up with scat singing.

Jasser Haj Youssef is a Tunisian violinist. Taqasim is what happens when you introduce oriental music to jazz.

Oriental Express play smooth fusion jazz. H.J. Freaks on bass guitar is goo, but a bit too talkative. Their curious twist is introducing two traditional Korean instruments into the mix, the Gayageum and the Haegeum.

This is Monsoon by Oriental Express.
